Depth Psychotherapy

Therapy that goes to the root

Medications alone are not enough for real change. Getting to the core of the problem takes deliberate effort and guidance.

Understanding matters as much as treating

Most psychiatric care splits the mind in two: a prescriber for your chemistry, a therapist for your story, and a referral slip between them. At Entheo Clinic they were never separated. Dr. Kabir trained as a psychotherapist alongside his medical training, and therapy is woven into every visit rather than referred out.

Depth work means going beneath symptom management to the patterns underneath: the protective parts that learned their jobs decades ago, the conflicts that repeat across relationships, the meanings that symptoms carry. Medication can quiet a storm; understanding is what changes the weather.

The approaches woven into every visit

Internal Family Systems

Working with the parts of you that protect, manage, and carry old burdens, so they can update their jobs instead of running your life.

Jungian Depth Work

Attention to dreams, symbols, and the larger patterns of a life: the material psychiatry usually has no room for, taken seriously here.

Psychodynamic Work

Tracing how early relationships shaped the ones you're living now, and using the therapeutic relationship itself as an instrument of change.

CBT & Trauma-Informed Care

Practical, structured tools for thought patterns, anxiety, and trauma responses, used where they help rather than as the whole story.

What is depth psychotherapy?

Depth psychotherapy is a family of approaches, including psychodynamic therapy, Jungian depth work, and Internal Family Systems, that work with the underlying structure of a person's inner life rather than only the surface symptoms. Where brief symptom-focused therapy asks "how do we make this feeling stop?", depth work also asks "what is this feeling doing here, and what does it need?" The two questions belong together, and good care uses both.

At Entheo Clinic, depth psychotherapy is provided by telehealth across California by a psychiatrist-psychotherapist, in integrated 50-minute sessions or woven through medication visits. That combination is rare and practical: the person exploring your inner world is the same person managing your prescriptions, so nothing gets lost between two offices.

If you're looking for therapy with a psychiatrist in California, or you want IFS, Jungian, or psychodynamic work from someone who can also see the biological side, this is the room where both conversations happen.

Work with someone who holds both halves.

The story and the chemistry, in the same unhurried room.
